Dark Arisen Start Level Guide

For the safest Dark Arisen start order, take a level-20-range Arisen into Lost Rites for early-to-mid-game equipment. Treat the Forsaken Dominion of Norgan as the level-40 route. A higher level does not remove Norgan’s weather problem, so pack a way to handle cold before entering.

Choose the content band

Around level 40 with workable gear	Enter Norgan	Forsaken Dominion uses the higher published recommendation and adds hostile weather.
High-level or New Game Plus	Norgan remains relevant	Review-build observations report level scaling; do not assume raw level removes expedition risk.

These are recommendations, not hard gates. The expansion can still differ by vocation, party composition and equipment. Do not treat a level number as proof that your current cold protection or damage output is sufficient.

Prepare before Norgan

1. Keep at least one equipment path that preserves Thermal protection.
2. Carry Heat Stones when you want temporary party protection without giving up a stronger non-Thermal item.
3. Leave inventory room for unappraised relics.
4. Plan to return to the Norgandian Settlement rather than treating one trip as a full clear.

First expedition priorities

Use the relic expedition guide for the full loop. On the first run, learn a short route between the settlement and one safe return point. Search caves and abandoned homes, not only defeated monsters. If you bring Freki, carry the prime cut of meat required to motivate her before relying on her search ability.
